I have been obsessed with books for as long as I can remember: reading books, reviews of books and all about their authors; discussing them at book groups: visiting libraries; perusing bookshops; TV/radio programmes about books and authors; cinema/TV adaptations of books; and attending book festivals and events. I have a LOT of books and a towering TBR (to be read) pile!
For many years I was a volunteer adult literacy tutor and it was a huge privilege to be part of a student's reading journey, sometimes from non-reader to devouring novels! More recently I was a volunteer reading helper for disadvantaged students in a secondary school.
I currently read ~100 fiction books each year - contemporary fiction, literary fiction,
historical fiction, classics and many others. I record everything I read on Goodreads
